Rågång explores structural simplicity, bringing solid pine and aluminium together in a chair made from just a few components.
The idea is that by treating each component with the same care and respect as an individual work of art, the assembled object becomes something more than its function. Something worth keeping, caring for and passing on.
Perhaps sustainability is, ultimately, a question of love.
In this second prototype, the proportions have been refined, giving the chair a less bulky appearance without reducing its material presence. More precise cuts allow the pine and aluminium to work together more naturally, creating a clearer relationship between the two materials.
Each prototype is an opportunity to simplify the construction, question what is necessary and better understand what remains.
